Ridgecrest Area Convention
& Visitors Bureau / Ridgecrest Regional Film
Commission. A two-fold mission: (1) promote the
advantages, events, and beauties of the Ridgecrest regional area to

the many natural and man-made locations available and suitable for
filming to satisfy the needs of amateur, commercial, industrial, and
other film producers of product and television advertising and major

Inyokern Airport. Located in
Inyokern about 12 miles west of Ridgecrest on Monache Road,
off State Highway 178. Provides commercial passenger
service daily to and from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX),
plus air cargo service by Federal Express and UPS. Car rental
service available; aviation gasoline and jet fuel obtainable by
self-service fuel truck. Also available: aircraft
rentals, maintenance, private and industrial hangers, office and
ground leases, areas of the airport set aside

Desert Empire Fairgrounds & RV
Park. Newly expanded to offer 116
RV campsite units, including 30 units with full hookups and 86 units
with electric, water, and dump station. Sites can accept
45-foot motorhomes with pull-throughs. Rates, $12 a night /
$11 a night for seniors ... $9 a night, no hookups ... $7 a night
tent camping. Toilet and shower facilities available.
Unlimited "parking" spaces. In addition to public
campsites, the Fairgrounds has three separate meeting halls
offering a total of more than 33,900 square feet,
plus laundromat, moto-cross course, radio-controlled car course
(E-mail or call for information), horse stabling, box stalls with
turn-outs ($10 a night), a rodeo arena, and acres of outside area
